Nestled on the banks of the River Oos, amidst the famous Black Forest in Germany, Brenners Park Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden is an exceptional luxury hotel that provides the perfect blend of wellness and outdoor adventure.
The picturesque, cosmopolitan town of Baden-Baden is renowned as a wellness destination. This reputation dates back to 2000 years when the Romans discovered the town’s hot springs and built spas around them. Brenners, located in the heart of Baden-Baden, is a legendary grand hotel and wellness retreat surrounded by enchanting parkland.
The Brenners story began in 1872 with the purchase of the hotel Stéphanie-les-Bains by the Court Tailor Anton Alois Brenner at auction. However, it was his son Camille Brenner, who took over management of the hotel in 1882, that transformed the hotel into a true luxury destination hosting royalty from Europe and around the world.
Camille transformed the hotel’s interior into one of the finest in Europe, as well as expanding the hotel’s capacity, adding new facilities and acquiring the adjacent parklands. In 1941, the Rudolf-August Oetkers family, which had owned shares in Brenners Hotel AG since 1922, acquired majority shareholding. Brenners thus became the founding property of the Oetker Collection – the brand name of the Baden-Baden-based Oetker Hotel Management Company.
The expansive grounds of the hotel currently encompass nine distinct buildings, including the renowned Villa Stéphanie, affectionately known as the “House of Wellbeing.” It has fifteen luxurious rooms spread across five floors, featuring three impressive spa suites with private spa areas, spacious sauna landscapes, refreshing plunge pools, and elegant treatment rooms.
The comprehensive treatment menu extends from traditional spa treatments such as massages, skincare, and detox programs to physiotherapy. For medical treatments, the state-of-the-art Brenners Medical Care Centre in Haus Julius provides a wide range of professional services, including integrative holistic medicine, aesthetic medicine, aesthetic dentistry and nutrition consultation.
The hotel has 105 guestrooms whose interiors are finished in a warm, classic style. These accommodations range from single rooms to two-bedroom suites with exclusive access to rooftop terraces or gardens. The balconies of the hotel are delightful spaces to enjoy the fresh air and lovely views over Lichtentaler, the parkland and the River Oos.
At the top end is Parkvilla, a separate exclusive residence offering 600 square meters of luxurious living space offering guests with terraces, sunbeds, outdoor furniture, and a private garden. It features three living rooms, six elegant bedrooms and six luxurious bathrooms.
Brenners is a family-friendly hotel where the little ones are entertained and kept engaged at Alois’ Nest, the newly designed kid’s club. Located in Villa Viardot, Alois’ Nest, for children aged three to twelve, offers a comprehensive program curated by expert staff to cater to their age and interests. From decorating drinking glasses to face painting and pottery making, young guests have numerous opportunities to explore their creativity.
The hotel is surrounded by the enchanting Black Forest, which offers endless opportunities for young and young-at-heart explorers to embark on wilderness adventures, whether hiking along scenic trails or engaging in cultural excursions that delve into the area’s rich heritage. Europa Park, located nearby, is an expansive theme park spanning 95 hectares and features eighteen themed areas with around one hundred rides, thirteen roller coasters, and several shows.
Guests can also enjoy the thrill of horse racing competitions from the exclusive Brenners Lounge at the prestigious Club Tower, right on the finishing line of the world-renowned Iffezheim Racecourse. Offering a prime position and a spacious covered terrace overlooking the home straight, the Brenners Lounge provides the perfect vantage point to indulge in the exhilarating atmosphere of Baden-Baden’s horse racing shows.
