The Longevity Suite, the network of advanced Italian biohacking and anti-ageing city clinics, inaugurates the very first Longevity Spa at the Portrait Milano Hotel.
The Longevity Suite’s network of biohacking and antiaging city clinics offer integrated, high-performance and technologically advanced protocols. The Longevity Method stems from over 20 years of research by the team led by Dr. Massimo Gualerzi, Cardiologist, Co-founder, and Scientific Director of The Longevity Suite. This is complemented by the pharmaceutical expertise of Elisa Mondelli, Co-founder, and Head of Business Excellence.
The new Longevity Spa offers a holistic and multidisciplinary approach that combines medical expertise in the anti-ageing sector with treatments that are crafted by combining traditional inspiration with a selection of the most advanced beauty, rebalancing and rejuvenation treatments.
The Longevity Spa aims at being the first metropolitan spa born from the fusion of high-tech biohacking techniques and the holistic practises of the Blue Zones – the five geographic areas (Icaria in Greece, Sardinia in Italy, Okinawa in Japan, Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, and Loma Linda in California – that have lower rates of chronic diseases and a longer life expectancy.
This new wellness concept includes dedicated treatment and ritual cabins along with a monumental pool, Turkish bath, sauna, relaxation area, and a gym created in collaboration with Technogym.
“The longevity industry is proving to be the largest and most potential market of this decade: even luxury hospitality is experiencing its positive trend, making it even more crucial to be able to meet guests’ needs with a tailor-made offer that focuses on a form of wellness that enhances our physical and mental conditions,” says Luigi Caterino, co-founder and CEO of Longevity S.p.A.
He adds: “The true uniqueness of The Longevity SPA lies in the combination of high-tech and natural approach, medical sciences and holistic philosophies, innovation, and tradition. Just as in our City Clinics and in our project The Longevity Kitchen, also for our SPA concept, biohacking is the starting point of our considerations: not just a trend, but a set of techniques necessary to counteract the new issues caused by modern lifestyles. We need to lay the foundations for living as long as possible, to the best of our abilities, in a happy and conscious way.”
Portrait Milano opened its doors in 2022, as the third Portrait hotel, following those in Rome and Florence. Portrait, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World alliance, is the flagship brand belonging to the Lungarno Collection, a hotel management company owned by the Ferragamo family.
Portrait Milano is located in the evocative location of the former Archiepiscopal Seminary. Thanks to a careful restoration project entrusted to Architect Michele De Lucchi, the tailor-made hospitality that distinguishes the Portrait brand takes shape from the first to fourth floors of the building, with its 73 rooms and suites signed by Architect Michele Bonan.
On the ground floor, at the centre of this splendid monument is the over 2800 sqm Piazza del Quadrilatero. It creates a new promenade that connects Corso Venezia with Via S. Andrea, one of the most important streets in the fashion district. It is framed by an elegant seventeenth-century colonnade, overlooked by restaurants, bars, boutiques and wellness proposals.
The 700 sqm of the new Longevity Spa is in the west wing of the medieval complex, on the basement level. Its immersive space, services and treatments are accessible to both hotel guests and to the public.
“Portrait Milano was conceived to revolutionize the traditional dynamics of hotellerie,” says Valeriano Antonioli, CEO of Lungarno Collection. “During our selection of a wellness brand to be integrated into our project, we considered what could be antithetical to the typical hotel spa. The Longevity Suite brand perfectly embodies our vision thanks to its forward-thinking approach to individual wellness.
“It offers a comprehensive approach that starts from check-ups, continuing onto physical exercise, wellness treatments, cryotherapy, and extends to nutrition and supplementation; now it also incorporates a precious and new element for the brand: water, in its incredibly beautiful and dramatic monumental pool.
“The Longevity SPA is the first project of this kind. It will cater to both hotel guests, Milanese and visitors. In a place steeped in history, we have brought a brand infused with technology and research, aimed at enhancing everyone’s life with the best quality and expectations ever.”
The common objective of creating guests’ wellness also extends to Portrait Milano’s 10_11 Restaurant. Its menu now features dishes with a balance of fibres, proteins, and carbohydrates in every course. From appetizers to desserts, the dishes are curated for lightness and easy digestibility, ideal for a good meal after a ritual at The Longevity Spa or before an afternoon of wellness.
